NEW ARTISTS From YORKSHIRE REGION TO PLAY LEEDS FESTIVAL
SUN KING
The Fulford Arms and Crescent regulars SUN KING from York will be making their first appearance at Leeds Festival on the BBC Music Introducing Stage.
The five piece are an already established band who have a full UK tour under their belts when they supported Wunderhouse and Deadletter, from the North East to the South West.
They are tipped to be the next big thing, their indie electronic sounds bring a sense of both old and new.
The members have already attended Leeds Festival previously and are hoping to take an entourage of fans with them for their eagerly awaited set as they become the latest indie band from Yorkshire to get the opportunity to grace the introducing stage.
In May they played a packed gig at the Cherry Fuzz Club in Leeds.
And most recently in June they played the river stage at the Isle Of White Festival which will have been a great warm up for Leeds Festival.
ELLUR
Halifax’s pop and indie sensation Ellur is thrilled to be playing Leeds with her unique range of deep personal life topics from craving validation, rejection and singing about her own journey which translates into her music.
Having a similar music vibe to Los Angles American female rock band HAIM. Ellur plays the piano and guitar and will be gracing Leeds with her 90s brit-rock infused tracks and elegant presence.
Tracks to listen to, ‘Close To You’, and ‘ Best Face On’ are a shining example of Ellurs indie pop genre.
With features on BBC Radio 1, Radio X, Spotify features and Ellurs tracks being featured on the Amazon series ‘ The Summer I Turned Pretty’ and Channels 4, ‘Made In Chelsea’ allowed Ellur to continue growing in stature within the music industry and she toured with her band in early 2024 with sold out shows in across the country.
Ellur also supported The Pigeon Detectives across the UK.
DELILAH BON
Yorkshires Delilah Bon singer songwriter, rapper and producer from Barnsley is already well known in the music industry and she has featured heavily with coverage on Kerrang and is the lead singer of grunge band Hands off Gretel.
Her empowering tracks stem from her own life experiences and she already has a string of singles. With, ‘ Devil’ which was released in July 2020, followed by other tracks such as ‘ Delilah Bon’ in May 2021.
She also toured the UK in late summer 2022.
At the end of 2023 Bon performed at Taratata which is Frances largest and most popular music tv show with her track, ‘War On Women’.
Bon was also nominated for the Heavy Music Awards in 2023 for the best UK Breakthrough Act.
